Schappert Biography
Terry Schappert is a martial artist and former member of the US Army National Guard Special Forces. He was the 2009 host of Warriors on the History Channel and is a regular pundit on FOX News. In addition to serving in the Guardsman role three times, Schappert has made appearances on a number of television programs, including Shark Week, The Greg Gutfeld Show, Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld, and Dude, You’re Screwed.

Schappert Military
In 1988, just a few months after receiving his degree from UNCW, Schappert joined the US Army. Immediately following basic training, he was reassigned to the 82nd Airborne Division. Schappert was offered a spot at Officer Candidate School because of his degree, but he turned it down since he preferred the ground troops. He finished Ranger School while attached to a recon squad. Schappert’s next step was to become a Green Beret, his ultimate challenge, after serving in the Persian Gulf War.
Schappert served as a Medical Sergeant in the Special Forces for five years. Before he was released from active duty in 1997, he participated in Operation Joint Endeavor. He subsequently went after a career in acting. Schappert rejoined the National Guard’s 19th Special Forces Group after 9/11 as a Special Forces Combat Medic. Before retiring in 2017, he participated in both the War on Terror and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Schappert made his television debut in the UK in February 2017 as the lead actor in an episode of the BBC series Special Forces: Ultimate Hell Week. Schappert leads the civilian competitors in a series of training exercises inspired by Green Berets over the course of 48 hours in South Africa throughout the episode.
Terry started hosting Hollywood Weapons Fact or Fiction in 2016. a program that tests scenes from films and television shows in which implausible gunplay is shown. These sequences are tested by Terry and his co-host, Hollywood prop guru and armourer Larry Zanoff. After airing on The OUTDOOR Channel, the program is currently available on Netflix.
