Shannon Bream Biography
Shannon Bream is an American lawyer and journalist who appears on Fox News Channel. She took over as presenter of Fox News Sunday in 2022. She was the host of Fox News @ Night for five years before taking over Fox News Sunday.
Bream traveled to Tallahassee to pursue law school at Florida State University after graduating from Liberty University in 1993 with a degree in Business Management, magna cum laude. She interned in the US House of Representatives with Florida Congressman Bill McCollum. McCollum will subsequently become the Attorney General of Florida. She won the Miss Florida USA pageant (1995) and finished fourth in the Miss USA 1995 competition while attending law school at Florida State. Her law school studies was funded for by scholarship grants from Miss USA pageants.

She was born to Linda (née Evans) and Clarence Edward DePuy. She enrolled at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, when she was 17 years old and went on to win the Miss Virginia pageant in 1990. Her scholarship paid for the majority of her undergraduate education.

Bream met Brit Hume, the managing editor of Fox News Channel’s Washington office, while working for WRC-TV. She submitted audition recordings to Fox News with his support. Bream joined Fox News Channel in November 2007 and worked out of the network’s Washington, D.C. bureau. She went on to become the anchor and host of Fox News @ Night.
Bream was appointed as the permanent host of Fox News Sunday beginning September 11, 2022, replacing Chris Wallace on August 11, 2022. Bream appears as a guest and replacement host on Fox News programs such as America’s Newsroom, Outnumbered, America Reports, The Story with Martha MacCallum, The Five, Special Report, and Gutfeld! in addition to presenting Fox News Sunday.

Following graduation with honors from Florida State University College of Law in 1996. Bream relocated to Tampa, Florida, and began her legal career as a race discrimination and sexual harassment specialist. She eventually transitioned from the legal profession to a career in television reporting.
In 2001, she relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she worked as an evening and late-night news correspondent for CBS station WBTV. Bream left WBTV after three years to join NBC station WRC-TV in Washington, D.C. She worked as a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter for WRC-TV.
