Darragh made an appearance as Kate’s father and principle Ken Messner, who begins to get along with Luke’s mother Sherry. When Kate was five years old, his wife’s mother passed away. The 1996 Oregonian film Everything Sucks! centers on the oddball A/V Club and Drama Club at Boring High School. The narrative centers on freshman Luke O’Neil and his club-joining pals McQuaid and Tyler Bowen. Luke falls in love with both the principal’s daughter, Kate Messner, and the drama student, Emaline Addario. Rumors that Kate is gay begin to circulate, and she soon begins seeing Luke. After Kate accidentally destroys the performance, Luke and his pals propose showing a movie to the entire high school. In addition, the movie looks with issues of friendship, sexuality, identity, and the rejection of romantic connections.
