Matt Shirvington is a former Australian athlete and television personality who won the national 100m sprint title from 1998 to 2002. He presently co-hosts the breakfast television show Sunrise on the Seven Network with Natalie Barr.

Shirvington appeared on the inaugural season of Dancing with the Stars in 2004 and was a presenter and reporter on Beyond Tomorrow in 2005. Shirvington will replace Jim Wilson as weekend sport anchor on Seven News Sydney in July 2020. On Sunrise, Weekend Sunrise, and The Morning Show, he also filled in as a host and sports presenter. Shirvington began hosting the competition series Holey Moley on 1 February 2021, and on 7 March 2021, he began hosting the competitive series Ultimate Tag. Shirvington will replace long-running broadcaster Mike Whitney as a host on Sydney Weekender in January 2022, according to Seven Network.
Shirvington was a member of the commentary crew for the network’s coverage of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in July 2022.
The Seven Network announced in January 2023 that Sam Mac would succeed Shirvington as host of Sydney Weekender. Shirvington left the show to focus on his burgeoning Seven News and Seven Sport responsibilities.Shirvington will permanently replace David Koch as the co-host of Sunrise in June 2023, after filling in for him regularly on Fridays in recent months. He started on Monday, June 12th.
