Two days later, 500 loved ones attended a full cultural reception called a “Melse” at Mill Manor in Ivyland, Pennsylvania, where they enjoyed Ethiopian food and dancing. The first event was a traditional American celebration that drew 200 guests to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Being proud residents of Philadelphia, the couple decided to hold their celebrations there. Since it was the site of their second date, the museum had a special place in their hearts. Solomon chose a classic outfit by Eva Lendel for the wedding at the museum.
The ceremony went toward a crimson, cranberry, and plum color scheme and had a conventional, clean design. The menu included an array of appetizers such as tuna tartare spring rolls, mac & cheese cupcakes, Nashville hot cauliflower, and sirloin sliders, in addition to a dinner of artisan short rib and tropical mahi-mahi.
Solomon and Pratt wore custom-made Ethiopian bridal gowns from Enku Design at Spring Mill Manor. The event’s colors were crimson and gold, and a variety of musical styles, such as contemporary, Afrobeats, and Ethiopian, were played.
A buffet with traditional Ethiopian meals, including vegetarian, beef, and lamb options, was provided. Following their intense love for one another at a Philadelphia business networking event, Solomon and Pratt announced their engagement in May 2023. While the couple was taking in the sunset on an Aruba beach, the lawyer proposed.
