Career
While traveling the world as a marketer, she discovered her passion for food while pursuing a career in cooking. After her company was purchased in 2010, Palak decided to change occupations. She received training at the International Culinary Center (later the French Culinary Institute) and the Culinary Business Academy of the U.S. Personal Chef Institute in San Francisco. Before being convinced to compete on “Chopped,” where she won in 2013, she taught classes at a tiny Brooklyn cooking school and cooked in the South of France.
Since then, Chef Palak has been as a guest on the “Today Show,” Fox 5’s “Good Day Atlanta,” Bravo, and ABC 7 Chicago. He has also competed on “Food Network Star” and won “Beat Bobby Flay.” Her recipes for individual courses and personal chef services integrate nutrition, herbs, and spices, and she has visited more than 50 countries for culinary purposes.
Genuine, healthful, and frequently vegetarian Indian cuisine is Chef Palak’s specialty, and she takes great satisfaction in bringing elegant dining to a more approachable level. She has consulted for upscale eateries in Miami and the Amalfi Coast, hosted numerous food pop-ups, and collaborated with well-known companies like Whole Foods, Clif Bar, BMW, Barclays, and Hello Fresh.
