After College, Matte proceeded to work for MuchMusic, a Canadian link specialty station, as the Host of MOD (Much On Request) a Gemini selected, live, public, early evening, everyday TV program. MOD was known all over the country as a place where famous people lived. During his four years on the show, Matte hosted hour-long specials with Tom Cruise, Gerrad Bulter, Matthew McConaughey, J.J.
