Kristen Doute is an American actress, novelist, fashion designer, businesswoman, and television personality. She spent eight seasons as a series regular on the Bravo reality series Vanderpump Rules, as well as its spin-off, The Valley (2024–present).

Doute Vanderpump Rules
Doute started off as a waitress at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant SUR in West Hollywood, California, with aspirations of becoming an actor. There, she was chosen to be an original series regular on Vanderpump Rules, a Vanderpump Family of Beverly Hills spin-off on Bravo TV. The show centers on the staff of Vanderpump as they strive to establish successful careers in show business and get involved in personal turmoil. It was revealed on June 9, 2020, that Kristen had been sacked for repeatedly phoning the police on Faith Stowers. Doute and her co-star, Stassi Schroeder, accused Stowers of committing a fraudulent police complaint.
Bravo revealed in March 2023 that Doute will make a comeback to Vanderpump Rules for season 10, allowing viewers to witness the “Scandoval” love triangle unfold on television. Variety revealed on June 28, 2023, that Bravo was in the early stages of developing a Vanderpump Rules spin-off featuring Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, and Doute. The Valley, a reality series that debuted on March 19, 2024, had a teaser posted by Bravo on January 18, 2024. In May 2024, The Valley was renewed for a second season, with the full cast returning.

Doute House
Doute and her partner, Luke Broderick, moved into a new apartment in Los Angeles in 2021 after selling their Valley Village home. An cast member of The Valley gave BravoTV.com an exclusive tour of the room in the video you can see above, showcasing her “two refrigerators,” her peaceful outdoor balcony, and her “crystals all over the house,” among other details (more on that below).
However, Kristen and Luke announced on June 27, 2024, that they were leaving that apartment and looking for a new location.The couple hasn’t disclosed any other information about the new location as of yet, however on August 14th, Kristen posted an Instagram Story showing off her gorgeous, glowing pool in her backyard. With its many trees and verdant landscaping, the backyard seemed ideal for a day spent in the sun.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed on May 1, 2023, that Doute will be a part of the upcoming competitive series The Goat on Amazon Freevee. The program follows well-liked reality TV stars as they compete to win cash prizes by putting them through a variety of social, mental, and physical tests. On May 9, 2024, the show made its debut. She was voted out of the competition as the fourth competitor.
Doute named her clothes company James Mae after her niece and nephew in 2014. The collection includes men’s and women’s graphic tees and sweatshirts with vintage and classic rock and roll designs. In 2019, Doute and business partner Magen Mattox relaunched James Mae, extending the product line while preserving the retro rock vibe.
The “Basic Witch Potion No. 1” pinot grigio wine was introduced by Doute and her co-stars on Vanderpump Rules, Schroeder and Katie Maloney, in February 2019 in collaboration with actor Stephen Amell’s Nocking Point Wines. Launched in June 2019, “Basic Witch Potion No. 2” is their second collaboration with Nocking Point Wines, a rosé. Following Doute and Schroeder’s terminations, “Basic Witch Potion No.1” and “Basic Witch Potion No.2” were taken out of Nocking Point Wines’ store in June 2020. Nocking Point Wines announced the reintroduction of “Basic Witch Potion No. 1” featuring Maloney and Doute on April 13, 2023.
