She is also a model who competes in beauty pageants and has appeared on numerous magazine covers.
She had only been unable to be physically fit and active twice in her life. She was very overweight before she began teaching aerobics because she suffered from depression, which she overcame by exercising. Later, when training for a fitness competition, she tore her Achilles tendon and had to rest for seven months, during which she became a health and fitness specialist.
