In 2009 and 2010, she and Marvin Scott of WPIX spent Christmas vacations in Iraq with local service members to help reconnect warriors with their families back home through satellite. In order to continue her goodwill mission, she spent the holidays with the Navy in Norfolk, Virginia, where she reported live and reunited sailors with their loved ones.
She volunteers for a number of organizations, including the John Theissen Children’s Foundation, Little Shelter Animal Rescue, Alliance for Lupus Research, PETA, The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, The National Institute of Natural Sciences, and The Arthritis Foundation. Nicolini returned to WPIX in the spring of 2017, this time as traffic for the station’s daily morning program.

Jill may be heard reporting traffic on 1010AM WINS Radio as of October 2017.
Nicolini worked as a model before becoming a reporter. In 2001, she tried out unsuccessfully for the role of Vampirella’s official live-action model. She appeared in four feature films as well as six television episodes, including HBO’s Sex and the City and NBC’s Law & Order.
