He appeared as Oliver Grant in the American reality television parody Real Husbands of Hollywood. The series is purposefully shot in the style of Bravo’s The Real Housewives. The “real” Kevin Hart’s hopelessly futile attempts to climb Hollywood’s celebrity social ladder (which usually backfire in embarrassing ways) and the character’s barely concealed resentment of his more successful celebrity buddies are central to many episodes.
The official promo was published in October 2012, after a sneak peek was given during the 2012 BET Awards. Following its announcement in March 2013, a twelve-episode second season debuted on October 15, 2013. The next day, on October 16, 2013, the show premiered on The Comedy Channel in Australia. Real Husbands of Hollywood was renewed for a third season in April 2014, which premiered on October 14, 2014. On August 18, 2015, the fourth season premiered.
