Courtney Relationship with husband Mario Lopez
When Courtney Lopez (née Mazza) was a cast member of the Broadway revival of A Chorus Line in 2008, Mario Lopez and she met.The couple has been active on social media throughout their relationship, exchanging updates on their family and lovely tributes to one another.
Mario went back to Los Angeles following his time in A Chorus Line, while Courtney remained in New York to play a mermaid in Broadway’s The Little Mermaid. She traveled often to see him in order to maintain their romance. The distance was a real test of their love, she revealed later in a Q&A video on their YouTube channel.
On December 1, 2012, Mario and Courtney exchanged vows in Punta Mita, Mexico. Mario’s three nieces and their then two-year-old daughter Gia were flower girls. A mariachi band performed at the opulent wedding, and dessert Boss star Buddy Valastro created the dessert. Mario and Courtney have collaborated on multiple film and television projects. Mario executive produced the dancing reality series Love & Salsa, which she hosted in 2014. Courtney made an appearance in the 2020 Netflix comedy series The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia, which starred Mario in addition to serving as executive producer and co-creator.
Mario played A.C. Slater again in the Peacock remake of Saved by the Bell, but this time he was Bayside High’s gym teacher. He costarred with Courtney as Michelle, the person Slater starts dating after a blind date. The husband-wife team also starred in their own 2010 reality show, Mario Lopez: Saved By The Baby, which aired on VH1 for one season, in addition to Mario and Courtney’s Wedding Fiesta on TLC.
My Grown-Up Christmas Wish, the couple’s most recent endeavor, is a Great American Family movie that will have its world premiere in late 2024. Dominic, Mario and Courtney’s middle child, also stars in it.
