Brian Armstrong is the CEO of the cryptocurrency company Coinbase and an American business leader, billionaire, and investor. He attracted national attention for his stance of prohibiting political activism in the workplace. He attended Bellarmine College Preparatory, a Catholic, all-male, private secondary school, during his high school years. Armstrong got a dual bachelor’s degree in economics and computer science from Rice University in Texas in 2005, followed by a master’s degree in computer science in 2006. He founded a firm pairing tutors to students while at Rice, and after graduation, he worked for an education company in Buenos Aires for a year.
