Oscar attempted to persuade Mabel to move on from the past, but Mabel insisted on seeing it through. They discovered Oliver and Charles where he had driven off to fetch ice cream. Charles saw Oscar ascending the stairs that evening, but Mabel assured them that he wasn’t the murderer. Oscar said he lied to Mabel and said he was going to see Tim instead of her. Tavo recognized certain jewels that Tim had been striving to bring down from a black market jewelry dealer named Angel. He assured Mabel he would email her a photo of the piece.
Silvia Mora, Mabel’s mother, arrived, furious that her daughter had come to town without telling her. Oscar accompanied the group back to Silvia’s house, where they had a conversation in her room. Mabel identified the ring she was wearing in one photo album as the one Tim intended to purchase. Oscar stated she didn’t have it on when she passed away. Oscar became agitated and requested a change of topic. Mabel stated they shared a kiss and she had been waiting for him.
Teddy Dimas put pressure on Oscar and the three of them to focus their inquiry, and they did so by learning that Tim had the ring he was hunting for the day before he passed away. Since they didn’t think anyone else would care enough to take the ring, they came to the conclusion that Teddy and Theo were the murderers. Oscar was shown a video on Tim’s phone by Mabel, and it proved that since Teddy and Theo were outside the building when Tim was slain, they were unable to kill him. Oscar went to see a lawyer to clear his name after learning that the Dimases had been falsely accused of something.
After that, he went to see how Jan was doing after getting stabbed and attended a meeting where Bunny was attempting to get them kicked out. The following day, Oscar departed early to meet with his attorney. Oscar saw Mabel’s incarceration as a turning point since it allowed her to express her well-being.
