Chiu Surgery Career
Chiu finished his general surgery residency at Detroit Riverview Hospital. He went on to become the Chief Resident in General Surgery at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital the following year. He then proceeded to the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he served as a Fellow in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for two years prior to being appointed Chief Fellow in 2002, having been there for a year already.
At the plastic surgery practice owned by his wife, Chiu was the first employee. Los Angeles is home to the Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery center. The clinic serves a large number of wealthy clients and has over 35,000 patients. Half of every net dollar that the Chiu family has is invested back into the community.
The Prince’s Foundation, AmFAR, Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, The Ghetto Film School, Art of Elysium, and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation are a few of the nonprofit organizations they collaborate with most closely. The Prince’s Foundation Health & Wellbeing Centre at Dumfries House in East Ayrshire, Scotland, is primarily supported by Chiu and his spouse.
