Arrest
Love Island winner Fincham, who won the 2018 series of the show, appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court today. He admitted driving without insurance and driving without due care and attention, but he also avoided a prison sentence after admitting to speeding, driving on false plates, and driving while under the influence of cocaine. However, he was warned he will go to jail if he commits these offenses again. Because of his early guilty plea, the magistrates lowered Fincham’s sentence from 16 weeks to 12 weeks of suspended jail time.
Fincham gave a negative breath test, according to the court, but a substances wipe revealed cocaine was present. According to what the court heard, Fincham was taking narcotics five times a week, daily, and was “heavily on them” at the time.
The court was informed that Dani Dyer’s ex-lover, with whom he had won the show, was spending £150 a day on narcotics. The reality star took cocaine five times a week in addition to diazepam and having traces of morphine in his blood. Fincham, who was being held on bond for several previous drug-related driving offenses, acknowledged that he was a “idiot” for using cocaine while operating a vehicle on a “bad morning.”
Officers in an unmarked police vehicle saw him driving a white BMW carelessly close to Dartford, and they stopped him. This morning, the Swanley-born TV personality who emerged victorious in the 2018 ITV2 Love Island season made an appearance at Medway Magistrates Court to answer for his “unacceptable standard of driving.”
He acknowledged driving a car on the road without third-party insurance, operating a car with a percentage of a certain restricted substance beyond the legal limit, operating a mechanically powered car carelessly, and using a registration illegally. Because of his early admission, Fincham’s sentence was lowered from 16 weeks to 12 weeks of suspended jail.
